For the second consecutive year, our Hockey Academy and for the fourth year running, our Netball Academy, have both secured spots at the Nationals.
On 20th November, the Netball Academy travelled to Cambridge Regional College for their qualifying tournament. With an impressive season already under their belts, expectations were high—and they delivered in style. Winning all five of their games, they booked their place at Nationals with commanding performances.
Meanwhile, on 4th December, the Hockey Academy journeyed to Long Road Sixth Form College for their qualifying fixture. Displaying their usual attacking flair and defensive resilience, they netted seven goals while maintaining their flawless defensive record, having yet to concede a single goal across both AoC tournament campaigns. Their emphatic win sealed their ticket to Nottingham this April, where they’ll join our Basketball Academy, who secured their place after triumphing in the Eastern play-offs earlier in November.
Last April, both teams shone in the AoC Nationals: our Hockey Academy clinched the championship without conceding a single goal, while the Netball Academy finished in a commendable third place. As April approaches, the Hockey squad aim to defend their national title, while the Netball team have their sights set firmly on bringing home the top trophy.
The countdown to Nationals is on, and all three teams are ready to make their mark once again.
