Celebrating Amelia: From Oaklands College to the University of Massachusetts

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that one of our talented students, Amelia, is taking a major step in her football and academic journey!

After two incredible years of balancing life as an Arsenal U21 player and a dedicated student at Oaklands College, Amelia will be heading to the University of Massachusetts this summer. In Amherst, she will continue to excel both on the football field and in the classroom, pursuing a degree in sports management. Reflecting on her time at Oaklands, she believes she is well-prepared for the university experience in the U.S. Amelia shared,

“I love the environment of living with like-minded people because we live with other sports athletes studying at Oaklands. Being able to share experiences and hear about different things while also pursuing your education and playing football is like a stepping stone to what it’s going to be like.”

Amelia’s journey exemplifies the power of dedication, hard work and our supportive environment here at Oaklands. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and cannot wait to see her shine in America!
