Oaklands College Students Shine at The Shining's 40th Anniversary Celebration

During the recent half-term break, five talented hospitality and catering students from Oaklands College had the unique opportunity to showcase their skills at an exclusive event marking the 40th anniversary of The Shining. The celebration took place at the iconic Elstree Studios and was attended by members of the legendary Kubrick family, adding a remarkable sense of significance to the night.

Our students played a key role in ensuring the event ran seamlessly, working diligently behind the scenes to support the venue staff and provide exceptional service to guests. Their hard work and professionalism were evident throughout the night, contributing to a memorable and successful celebration.

The students were also thrilled to meet British television personality Bradley Walsh, who graciously posed for a photo with the group—a fantastic keepsake from an unforgettable evening.
