Oaklands Wolves Shine at National Cyclocross Championships
Last Sunday, the 2025 National Cyclocross Championships at Cyclopark, Kent, put riders through their paces with temperatures plummeting to freezing -2°C conditions at the start of the Junior Men’s race. Despite the adversity, Oaklands Wolves athletes delivered standout performances.
Ellie Mitchinson stole the spotlight, securing an incredible 2nd place in the Women’s category, while Samuel Stacey impressed with a 6th place finish in the Junior Men’s race as a first-year competitor.
Head coach, Matthew Dennis remarked, “Extremely proud of all our riders for racing as they did so well in such difficult conditions. They tackled plenty of adversity but really showed what they’re made of, coming away with results they should all be proud of!”
With six riders representing (five men and one woman), Oaklands Wolves proved once again they’re a force in British cycling. Well done, Wolves!
