Learning for Leisure

Our part-time courses allow you to develop skills in an informal, friendly, and fun environment. Aimed at adults and the wider community, our courses can help you further your career, take up a new hobby or learn a new skill. Courses have been designed to fit around your commitments, and include languages, writing, computing, art and design, personal development, cookery, and more.

Please note we may have to amend / cancel courses if minimum enrolment thresholds are not reached.  We always endeavour to provide as much notice as possible if any changes need to be made.

ESOL

Learn to speak English at Oaklands and develop your language skills for the future. Our English Language courses are for people whose first language is not English and who wish to develop their language skills for everyday life, for work or in order to progress into education or further study.

GCSEs and Skills for Life

Helping people achieve in English and maths - Essential skills for  employment and further study opportunities.  

We offer daytime and evening English and maths courses to suit all levels at both our St Albans and Welwyn Garden City campuses. 

Free for people aged 19 or over who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in English or maths.
