About the course

A Level Biology is a wide ranging course in which you will learn about all of the following: cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, genetics, ecology and evolution, developing a variety of transferable skills including: investigative, problem solving, research, decision making, mathematical and analytical skills. The course covers a wide variety of concepts such as: - Life and living organisms, including their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions, physiological mechanisms, development and evolution. - Energy transfers in and between organisms; how organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environment; genetics; the control of gene expression; evolution and ecosystems.

Career options
