About the course

A Level Maths covers both mechanics and statistics. Mechanics is linked to Physics. It deals with the movement of physical objects and the relationship between force, mass and motion. Statistics builds upon the statistics and probability components of GCSE Mathematics. It employs the statistical enquiry cycle to help make sense of data trends and to solve statistical problems in a variety of contexts, such as psychology, biology, geography, business and the social sciences.
