On completion the numbers of passes, merits and distinctions may be used to calculate a UCAS Tariff. Universities will generally set a target for merits / distinctions or a Tariff.

About the course

This course is for learners interested in a career in nursing, midwifery and other health professions (Please note that for some health professions such as radiology, pharmacy etc. the science pathway may be the better option. Please ask for advice). Core units cover academic writing, communication skills and study skills. You will study health care principles, health and disease, mental health, psychology and mathematics for nursing. In addition we will help and support you in making a UCAS application and prepare you for Higher Education.
