There are no formal exams or assessments, however students will complete activities to support their learning which will be reviewed by the tutor to support individual development.

About the course

Skills Bootcamps is an exciting new funded initiative for Hertfordshire designed to provide short flexible training courses where individuals will gain sector specific skills for life, enabling individuals to enter into the sector, retain in a new industry or upskill in their current career. This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills required for working as a skilled operative on the railway through a combination of classroom learning and practical work experience led by industry professionals. Over the 3 week programme, learners will study industry specific skills and gain hands on experience with an employer. If you are interested in becoming a Skilled Track Operative working on the overground railways, then this course allows you to gain knowledge and skills ready for employment. Any candidates who are unemployed will have guaranteed interview on completion of the programme with a local employer.
