About the course

Production Arts covers a wide range of skills development and you will work closely with our theatre technician to understand what is involved in technical production processes giving you the opportunity to extend and practice your technical skills in real life projects.

Career options

You could progress to an HND, Foundation or Honours degree in related subjects such as stage management, set design, lighting design, or events management. Possible careers include assistant stage management, technical operator, crew plus many more relevant career opportunities.

Our aim is to give our students the space to flourish as a performer, but also to provide the skills needed to work in this industry.

Course Content - What will I learn?

Stage lighting Sound production Video projection Stage management Set construction and design. There will be various opportunities for collaboration with projects including Performing Arts, Film and TV and Music students who frequently perform their own gigs in local venues as well as at the college.
For students that do not already have Grade 4 or above in GCSE English or maths will study either Functional skills or GCSE depending on their grade as part of their study programme.
