The T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting has two mandatory components, and you will be assessed by two externally set Core Examinations and an Employer Set Project.

About the course

This course is suitable for anyone who would like a career in finance or accounting. The T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting was designed with employers and emphasises theoretical concepts but also focuses on the application of accounting practices in real-world scenarios, ensuring that you are well-prepared for the demands of the workforce in the accounting and finance industry. The qualification will help you gain an understanding of a career in accounting and the sector and you will cover topics such as: ' Core accountancy concepts, ' Accountancy rules and regulations ' Preparing primary financial statements ' Analysing business performance ' Presenting results ' Providing support to tax and audit functions. The occupational specialism will allow you to develop the relevant skills in preparation for your career in the accounting industry. T Levels require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including a grade 6 in Mathematics and 5 in English Language. The T Level in Accounting is equivalent to three A levels and this will enable you to progress to university, an apprenticeship or employment.
