About the course

This course is suitable for anyone who would like a career in finance or accounting. The T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting was designed with employers and emphasises theoretical concepts but also focuses on the application of accounting practices in real-world scenarios, ensuring that you are well-prepared for the demands of the workforce in the accounting and finance industry. The qualification will help you gain an understanding of a career in accounting and the sector and you will cover topics such as: ' Core accountancy concepts, ' Accountancy rules and regulations ' Preparing primary financial statements ' Analysing business performance ' Presenting results ' Providing support to tax and audit functions. The occupational specialism will allow you to develop the relevant skills in preparation for your career in the accounting industry. T Levels require a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including a grade 6 in Mathematics and 5 in English Language. Career options

The T Level in Accounting is equivalent to three A levels and this will enable you to progress to university, an apprenticeship or employment.
