About the course

Enrolling now for September 2024 start. The T Level Technical Qualification in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning offers students a mixture of classroom learning and 'on-the-job'experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. This 2 year course provides the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship.

This technical qualification provides the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship. It is the equivalent of 3 A Levels.

Successful completion of the Extended Diploma in Construction can lead to progression on to the HNC in Construction or other Higher Education courses or alternatively into employment within the construction and property industry.

Course Content - What will I learn?

The T Level Technical Qualification in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning has two mandatory components: 1. Core Component in Construction: Design,Surveying and Planning This component covers the underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills that support threshold competence in the construction industry. It has 600 GLH and is assessed by two externally set Core Examinations and an Employer Set Project. 2 Occupational Specialist Components in Surveying and design for construction and the built environment Every T Level will include an industry placement with an employer focused on developing the practical and technical skills required for the occupation. These will last a minimum of 45 working days but can last longer. Employers can offer industry placements as a block, day release or a mix of these.
