Candidates are assessed by a variety of methods, including case studies, assignments, presentations, observation, and practical test. There are no summative written exams for this course, however in some Units, your knowledge may be formatively assessed through in class tests.
On successful completion of this transition year and achieving a minimum of Grade 4 in GCSE English, students can progress onto the full T-Level in Design Surveying and Planning following pathways - Civil Engineering, Surveying and Building Services. When students complete a full T-Level study programme, they can choose between moving into a skilled occupation or further study, such as higher or degree apprenticeship, higher technical study, or university. Typical career paths will be to become members of one of the UK construction institutions such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Institute of Builders, Chartered Institute to Building Services Engineers
Successful completion of the Extended Diploma in Construction can lead to progression on to the HNC in Construction or other Higher Education courses or alternatively into employment within the construction and property industry.
