About Us

The Athletics academy is dedicated to nurturing exceptional athletic talent through personalised coaching and comprehensive support. It caters to athletes at various stages of their development, from emerging talents to elite competitors.

To ensure that each athlete receives the appropriate guidance, the academy operates a unique three-tier system: Podium, Performance, and Potential. This structure allows for tailored support based on each athlete’s experience and goals.

In the Podium tier, the focus is on elite athletes preparing for international competitions, providing specialised training and mental conditioning. The Performance tier supports athletes striving to enhance their skills and competitive edge, while the Potential tier nurtures emerging talents, laying a solid foundation for their future success.

The Athletics academy takes pride in its successful alumni, including athletes such as Daryll Neita and Jeriel Quainoo, who have excelled on the global stage. Through this comprehensive approach, the academy empowers athletes to achieve their aspirations, fostering a culture of excellence and resilience.

Programme Highlights

Explore the programme highlights of The Oaklands Wolves Athletics Academy.

Training with the Athletics Academy offers a well-structured system designed to foster athletic development, having successfully guided over 20 athletes to both international and national representation. The academy's primary aim is to elevate each athlete to a higher level from the moment they join, ensuring a personalised pathway for growth.

  • A blend of technical, physiological, and psychological development forms the basis of the training schematic.
  • Technical development sessions are a key focus, conducted three times per week.
  • Sessions involve progressively intensive training as athletes advance in ability.
  • Athletes are grouped by similar abilities to ensure training units are tailored to the correct levels.
