About Us

Oaklands Wolves Basketball is an accredited Basketball England Pathway Programme, delivering the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (D.I.S.E). Collaborating with local sixth forms, the academy supports student-athletes in achieving both their academic and sporting goals.

Through its internal player pathway, Oaklands Wolves provides performance programmes at every stage of basketball development, from club level to National Team representation. Competing in the EABL, WEABL, NBL, and SLBW, as well as national schools and AOC competitions, the academy offers teams tailored to every player's development as they advance through the levels.

Performance Student Athlete
As a Performance Student Athlete at Oaklands Wolves Basketball Academy, you will benefit from:

  • Integrated education and basketball timetable – your daily schedule includes shooting practice before College, academic classes in the morning, and training, strength & conditioning, or video sessions in the afternoon or evening. Games are held on Wednesdays and weekends for those selected in the SLBW or National League squads.
  • Player-focused coaching from international-level coaches
  • College teams including EABL, WEABL, AOC, and National Schools
  • Women’s elite SLBW franchise
  • Division 2 Women’s National League Team
  • Division 3 Men’s National League Team
  • National Team-standard 2-court sports hall
  • Fully equipped performance gym
  • Strength & conditioning programmes
  • Onsite physiotherapy suite
  • Collaborative opportunities with other sports academies

Development Student Athlete
As a Development Student Athlete at Oaklands Wolves Basketball Academy, you will benefit from:

  • Integrated education and basketball timetable – your daily schedule includes shooting practice before College, with training, strength & conditioning, or video sessions in the morning, and academic classes in the afternoon. College games are held on Wednesdays.
  • Player-focused coaching
  • College teams including AOC East and London
  • Fully equipped performance gym
  • Strength & conditioning programmes
  • National Team-standard 2-court sports hall
  • Easily accessible local location

The only formal requirement of joining the basketball academy is to be enlisted on one of our full time courses.

4TH TEAM

  • Player Level: School Teams and Recreational Level

  • League: Compete in Hertfordshire Schools/6th Form League
Women's Teams

Our elite women’s team competes at the highest level in the UK, demonstrating exceptional talent and commitment. We are dedicated to nurturing female talent in our basketball programme, providing a supportive environment that encourages both individual and team success.
