About Us

Welcome to the Oaklands Wolves Hockey Academy, where the mission is to help each player reach their full potential. The academy offers a unique blend of elite sports training alongside vocational or A Level courses, creating well-rounded performers.

As members of the academy, players engage in a comprehensive training programme that focuses on skills coaching, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, and performance lifestyle mentoring. Their typical day combines morning training sessions with afternoon academic studies. Players have the flexibility to continue with their existing hockey clubs or join St Albans Hockey Club, which is affiliated with the college.

The academy is designed for talented hockey players aged 16 and over who are already competing at a high level with their school, club, regional, or national age group teams. We seek students who are passionate about hockey and highly motivated to excel both in their education and sport. The training schedule also includes rest days, physiotherapy, and mentoring sessions.
