The Oaklands Wolves Netball Academy programme is tailored for talented players aged 16 and over who have competed at a high level and are committed to enhancing their netball abilities while pursuing academic qualifications. Participants have the option to enrol in various academic pathways, including A Levels and BTECs.
Located at the St Albans campus, the programme enables athletes to combine daily netball coaching sessions with their academic studies. With a focus on individual and team development, this player-centred approach ensures athletes improve their technical skills, expand their game knowledge, and successfully complete their chosen academic courses.
The Oaklands Wolves Netball Academy provides an elite training environment for athletes of all levels, offering opportunities for skill development alongside academic studies.
The Oaklands Wolves Netball Academy offers elite netball training alongside academic studies at Oaklands College. As part of the East Region Netball College team, they reached the National Colleges Finals in 2020/21, finishing 7th in the country. Open to all enrolled students, the academy provides top-tier coaching, excellent facilities, and individualised support.

Oaklands Netball competes in the AOC Eastern Regional League 1 and welcomes athletes of all abilities, from school players to those in National Franchises. The academy aims for 12 athletes per team, depending on student intake. They assist athletes in finding local clubs, encourage trials for National Franchises, and send representatives to the AOC National College selections, where one athlete was successfully selected in the 2017/18 season.
Student accommodation at our St Albans Campus is available for those enrolled in specialised programmes such as land-based courses, apprenticeships, and sports academies. Our aim is to create a safe, supportive community that helps you transition smoothly away from home.
Since 2013 the Netball Academy has witnessed a remarkable rise of over 20 stars, who have progressed to County, Regional and International Leagues, as well as the National Premier League.
