I have gained a vast amount of skills and knowledge from the course. I have learnt about the policy and procedure, theory and pedagogy that underpins practice and how we can use this information to support children/young people. Placement provides an opportunity to apply this knowledge to support child development and gives us valuable skills such as confidence, communication, initiative and collaboration. The rewarding nature of seeing your hard work and learning pay off in supporting the children you work with is incomparable. The staff who work with us in college are consistently supportive, nurturing and helpful, creating a friendly and enabling environment for all.
