The Oaklands Wolves Athletics Academy offers the opportunity to combine academic study with high-level training in a supportive and performance-focused environment. Athletes benefit from expert coaching, personalised development and regular competition opportunities to help them progress in the sport.

Our Alumni

The Oaklands Wolves Athletics Academy has a strong history of developing athletes who have gone on to achieve success at the highest level. Former students include Daryll Neita and Jeriel Quainoo, who have both represented on the international stage.

 

These success stories reflect the quality of coaching, support and environment within the academy, helping athletes progress beyond college and into elite sport.

 

By joining the academy, you will be part of a programme that has a proven track record of developing talent and supporting athletes to reach their full potential.

Daryll Neita

Daryll Neita progressed from a residential student at Oaklands to competing on the world stage for Team GB. A specialist sprinter, she has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games and World Championships, becoming one of the country’s leading athletes.

Jeriel Quainoo

Jeriel Quainoo is a former Oaklands student who has gone on to achieve international success in athletics, representing his country on the global stage. His progression highlights the strength of the academy’s development pathway and the opportunities available to dedicated athletes.

Fees

We believe in being clear and transparent about costs.

  • Oaklands Wolves Academy fee: £129.99 per year

The fee is due during the enrolment period. You’ll receive instructions as part of your enrolment communications.

 

Programme Structure

The Athletics Academy runs alongside your academic studies and is delivered across three structured training blocks:

 

  • Late September to December
  • January to March
  • April to July

 

Each block provides a consistent and progressive development programme, with regular training designed to improve performance and support athlete progression throughout the academic year.

 

Athletes benefit from a tailored approach, with support aligned to their experience and ambitions, creating an environment where they can develop and maximise their potential.

Who Can Apply?

The Athletics Academy is open to students enrolled on a full-time course at Oaklands College who have:

  • A passion for Athletics (indoor or outdoors)
  • A commitment to improving their performance
  • The motivation to balance sport and academic study

The Athletics Academy supports a range of future opportunities, including:

  • Continued development in athletics competition
  • Progression into higher education
